YOU KNOW those songs [27 Sep 2004|09:47pm] [ mood | lazy ] [ music | the rover-led zeppelin ] You know those songs that are awesome...or the parts of songs that are awesome. that make you feel all warm inside. WELL this is just your luck I'VE compiled a lit of awesome parts of songs I LIKE and im sure eveyrone else likes. okay here goes.. TAKING BACK SUNDAY---tell all your friends...from the outro of "you know how i do" until the end of "cute without the e"...its warmness all the way through LED ZEPPELIN----houses of the holy...when "the rain song" reaches 5 minutes...right up until the end... AND the last verse of "fool in the rain"...i know theres more but i cant thikn of them GUNS N ROSES-the guitar solo that starts at 6 minutes on the song "estranged"...my favorite guitar solo to listen to of all time...slash is the man... the last chorus of "don't cry".. BRAND NEW----all the choruses from "good to know that if i ever need attention...." yeah we all know the name. the chorus is so powerful.. that sounded corny but it is... same with when the drums come in on the bridge of "seventy times seven". QUEEN-just the drums on "we are the champions". whatever that guys name is...he knows how to make drums sound good. AEROSMITH-pretty much every song. THE DARKNESS--- all the guitar solos (especially on "growing on me") THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE---the intro of "voodoo child (slight return)" with the extremely insane wah pedal. THE WHO---just "baba o'riley"...the songs kicks major tail VELVET REVOLVER---on "fall to peices"...SLASH CHEAP TRICK----the chord progression on "he's a whore"...and for those who dont know what im talking about....the whole song is good. AND the pre chorus of "she's tight"....robin zander used to have the best voice around...what the flip even happened.. so yet again...you see what i do when im bored... 3Try TO`Help Me

[19 Sep 2004|09:50pm] [ music | the darkness-get your hands off my woman ] UMMm so...FRIDAY...went to the show with jackee and bunch of other people were there. it was a fun time. all of the bands were really good EXCEPT for the one after rainsford...what were they called "LIGHTS?" yeah it was pretty much nothing but noise and feedback. they sucked. i bought at cd for like 5 bucks that also sucked. i rpetty much thought it was gonna be good because pretty much all the bands but lights were good so i figured id like the cd but nooo it had to be really bad ....every song is like 2 minutes and 10 secondss long. and i was pretty surprised when taylor and his friend bobby showed up. it was pretty cool becasue he met all of my friend from school and yeah...it was just a good time. and...SATURDAY...went to raphs for a little bp(band practice) and we jammed a little then we were like "hey lets called mike mcavoy up" so we did and he came and hes got some long hair. he brought his big fender bass amp which was alot better than the peavy peice of crap we were using before. so mikes gonna either sing or play bass. im thiking sing becasue raph knows all of the songs on bass mike doesnt so YEAH and we also learned like..2 songs...Radio by alkaline trio which is an awesome song...i love it. AND my own worst enemy which is pretty much the all time funnest song to play. things were just going awesome and mike coming added alot of energy to our sad boring souls. he kinda gave out band a new life...things were going a little slow but then yeah mike came and yeah. and we're ALSO working on the matchbook romance song PROMISE (?). i think thats what its called. so anyways i left raphs and went to the dance with derek and we were obviously fashionably late. it was really nothing special. the dance was extremely boring. the highlight of the night was brian argueing with some weird kid and it was possibly the funniest thing ive ever seen. then zach bought the whole box of pizza which was also excellent. and then SUNDAY i went to ccd which is pretty much the last thing you'd ever want to do at 8 :45 on a sunday morning...or any morning for that matter. BUT i never did my summer reading for school so they were like "yeah youll have to read one of these books before like november 15th" or something and one of the books is a book my ccd teacher is reading us (yes SHES reading us the book) so at leats i wont have to read anything...but i dont know if ill be able to take her manly voice for the next 150 pages...alright yeah im sure whoever isnt reading this is bored by now. 1Try TO`Help Me

ouch [11 Sep 2004|09:00pm] welll i got home from raphs a while ago...at like 7 30 to be specific. i guess i cant stay at his house late anymore...which is getting weird. guess he doesnt like me anymore! well anyways we were supposed to have practice but derek couldnt come becasue he had to go to the flipping movies with his stupid girlfriend...hes turning out to be a plain old joe perry (nobody is gonna get that). so he didnt come but jackee came and shes wicked cool...shes one of the funniest people i know. now she came so we can see if shes any good at the drums. shes pretty good but she has a listen to the song alot before she can play it..so shes gonna listen to some songs we want her to play and shes probably gonna get a new drum set..which will be sweet and she'll probably come to another practice. so we pretty much just hung out all day... and played two square pretty much my favorite game ever. im watching the world cup of hockey right now...this is a crazy game... czech republic and canada...hope the czechs win. good bye dudes. 1Try TO`Help Me

i never made a scene....they came to me! [08 Sep 2004|04:22pm] [ music | the union- taking back sunday ] oh schoool was sooo bad today just becasue its sooo boring. I can't stand it. All of my classes blow except for like ..gym which actually sucked today. music theory is so hard and boring. now to talk about some good stuff...we played wiffleball in gym! but it wasn't too fun. they changed the good spicy chicken patties at school so they taste like butt. theyre disgusitng now, i'm so mad. SO on the lighter side jackees coming to the next band practice so we can see if shes any good. if we have 2 guitarists it would be so awesome. I hope shes good. i got a killer icon thing up at the top of this page...napolean dynamite for you losers who don't know. jess made this whole thing for me...i thank her because i would have had no idea how to change colors and stuff on this thing. oh and i figured id put a lyric as the subject becasue everyone in the wholedoes that so maybe if i do that it would be cool. Just some random things...the bands doing okay..we might be getting a new drummer and be swtiching me guitar which would make us better in my opinion..i gotta talk to derek about that. we had practice a couple days ago and we learned "buried myself alive" by the used and "number five with a bullet" by taking back sunday to go along with our other covers. we used to try and only make our own songs but when we realized that the songs we were making were boring we kinda stopped. schools been pretty good...better than last year. Ive got so many better teachers and better classes. ill catch you cats on the flip side. `Help Me
